    Dead Awake was a modification for Land of the Dead, intended to be a nearly complete total conversion, using only some of the base LOTD code and the zombie models/animations. At the time that the project came to a halt, we had at least 30 different levels in some stage of creation from "just an outline" to "nearly complete". The mod also featured several additional weapons, dozens of new features and functions, and an untold number of bugs fixed from the original game.

    This is a little diner area, from a large map that we titled "Razer". Most of the pieces here were taken from Postal 2 (with permission from Running with Scissors), except the lighting, which came from Land of the Dead. The baseball bat is the original Land of the Dead weapon, using a custom aluminum skin by Darkleo.

    This is a view through the front door of the diner. The door was a static mesh that came with Land of the Dead, but structurally and textureally modified by Axeman, to become a combo glass/aluminum door. The counter inside was modelled by me.

    This is a small gas-station/convenience store found in the Razer map. The pump-island was modelled by myself, the pumps themselves came from Postal 2 (with permission from Running with Scissors) although have a heavily modified texture and shader set.

    This was a not-quite completed furniture store, the shot is mostly to show off the usage of reflectiveness/specularity, something that was hardly made use of at all in the original game

    A mostly nondescript restroom in a nondescript building. Plumbing facilities by Running with Scissors (with permission), other fixtures by myself.

    Waiting area of a laundromat, making use of advanced lighting (and Karma, though you can't see that in the screenshot) techniques that were hardly if at all used in the original game, also a few custom textures and statics here.

    One of the features of DA, was that striking zombies or other humans enough with melee weapons, would cause your weapon to get progressively bloodier. Here is an example of the default fists, bloodied up, as well as an in-progress fast-food restaurant, and the AI humanoid that would mostly run and hide from zombies, while shooting anything that moved.

    This is the crowbar weapon, as output from 3DS MAX. I believe, but am not sure, that this weapon will make a reappearance in another mod being created by some other LOTD modders.
